Dear Member,
There is no official horse activity for the whole long weekend. If the odd player comes around for some "stick and balling" please be careful and remember safety first.
I do apologize for the slight problem with the format of the Blog. We working on it and hope to have it resolved shortly. You can still read about the new Pilatus Porter at the field.
I wish you all a very good long weekend of flying.

Dear Member,
Firstly, I must congratulate Ian Becke for achieving his Glider Solo over the past weekend. Well done in rather difficult conditions.
Then Polo practice times will be the same as last week. Friday afternoon from 15h00 followed by Saturday from 10h00 and Sunday from 11h00. Enjoy the weekend.
Have you read about “Spitfires buried in Burma during war to be returned to UK” on the Blog.
We are in the process of having a sign made up for the club. All will be revealed next week.
Finally, to all those making the trip to the Himeville Fly-In, have a safe trip and enjoy the flying. I look forward to some interesting news after your return.
Regards

Dear Member,
There is no change to the normal Polo times this weekend. We can fly normally between 07h00 and 10h30. At this stage there is no polo practice on Sunday, but even if there is it should not be a problem if we stick to our times. Also remember polo practice is for no more than 2 hrs so the afternoons are always available, expect generally on a Wednesday and a Friday.

Weekend flying: Easter Weekend 6-9th April 2012 (Week 14) |

Dear Member,
We basically have the field to ourselves this whole weekend. There is no official Polo practice or DSC activities. There will perhaps be the odd individual “Stick & Balling”. This should be no inconvenience but I appeal to you all too please be considerate. If anyone one does pitch up they will use the opposite side of the field to us so we stay out each other’s way.
The weather at this stage looks good despite some cloud so enjoy yourselves and keep it safe.
I wish you all a Blessed Easter.
Happy landings

Aviators Boot Sale - Chairman's Appeal |
|
|
|
|
Hi all,
As you all know by now we are having our "Aviators Boot Sale" this Sunday and the event is open to all clubs and modelers.
I wish to take this opportunity to make a special appeal to all our members to please attend this event. I strongly believe that
this is an ideal occasion to sell, swop or give away those items that you no longer have any use for. The reason for the event
is to raise funds for the club and your R50 will really go a long way in helping us to achieve this. If you're really unable to find
any unwanted items, that's no problem, come down to the field and we'll gladly accept your R50 donation. If everything else fails
you can still come down to the field to enjoy the day with us.
Fires will be provided for those who would like to put some meat on the grills for lunch, and please remember that only SAMAA
registered members are allowed to fly...
Regards,
David Charls
